We know being without power is an incredible hardship. Please know you are our top priority. We have more than 1,000 lineworkers from Nashville and seven states resetting hundreds of power poles, reconnecting snapped lines and repairing other electrical equipment. The unprecedented damage in lingering icy conditions makes repairs challenging but we won't give in and we won't back down. Whether you are on a major circuit or a small street, no one is forgotten. #NESOutageAlert January 28 7:30pm Tomorrow, we will deploy 42 more vegetation management team members to the field, making a total of 257 vegetation management team members. Additionally, we've got more line teams on the way, bringing our total to 963 lineworkers in the field. Currently, there are many areas with outages of 1,000 customers or more, including: •Nashville/Bellevue •Brentwood •Forest Hills •North Nashville/ Brick Church •Hendersonville •South Nashville/ Edgehill/ Elysian Fields •East Nashville/ Rosebank •Whites Creek and Joelton •Donelson •Antioch

@AntiochMSBears coteaching teams continued their learning and combined their assets to create their co-teaching superhero. Combined assets bringing hope and positivity to their shared classroom. @MNPS_EL

@MNPS_EL I was so thrilled at the engaging faculty at Isaac Litton Middle school who I had the opportunity to lead through the first part of a Thinking Maps training. I am excited to see how they implement the first four maps over the next six weeks.

@freddieoconnell hello from one MNPS parent to another I believe. After the shooting today at the WeGo downtown bus station, how can we ensure that our students our safe to travel with the public bus service through Nashville? A 4pm killing at main bus station is unacceptable.

Amazing to hear from Edward Steinman who won the case and Trish Morita Mullaney author and professor who closed out #WIDA24 with the story of Lau vs Nichols. What an honor to hear from them both! And I will be buying her book for sure.

So thankful for all the positive feedback we received on a session on how to integrate content and language across all content areas today and yesterday. We were able to interact with around 200 educators from across the USA. #WIDA2024 @MNPS_EL

One of the biggest changes I made to students ILPs this year was to include bilingual dictionary and intentionally practice in class (bye Google Translate!). Look at them using it in their end of quarter final writing like rock stars! #elscan#rael #scaffoldtosuccess

Really enjoyed attending my first AVID Excel class @Wrightmiddle today. Ms. Adam had the students speaking and writing about an Emerson quote within the first 10 minutes. Way to go! @MNPS_EL

I had a great time working with @Wrightmiddle teachers yesterday to help build their capacity to implement academic conversations in their classrooms. I loved the way the teachers really took on board the importance of body norms. @MNPS_EL

A great follow up professional development session this morning @AntiochMSBears supporting co-teaching teams. We reflected on our practice so far and refined collective commitments. @MNPS_EL of course we started with a QSSSA to get the blood flowing and brain working!
