The NES team is diligently monitoring upcoming weather forecasts and is anticipating 1”-3” of rain and a chance of damaging winds over the next several days that may lead to safety hazards and power outages. While we are preparing our staff to address potential outages, we want our customers to be ready and safe. We encourage you to stay informed and follow the safety tips below. Resources for severe weather: ▪️Create an emergency preparedness plan with family members in case of disastrous conditions. Check out nespower.com for Spring Storm Guidance. ▪️If there is a power outage, customers should text "OUT" to 637797 (mobile phone must be tied to the account), report it on the NES mobile app, call 615-234-0000, log in to NESPower.com , or report it on the NES outage map at nespower.com/outages. ▪️For your safety, if you see a downed power line, stay at least 30 feet away and call 9-1-1 immediately. If you are using a portable generator, keep it outdoors and away from windows. ◾️Check on and inform your neighbors.

This “line” has been hanging in our yard for over 5 months. We have submitted multiple hub requests for someone to come take care of it. But they just wrapped it up and put caution tape on it…@NESpower @WSMV

@NESpower diabolical of you to turn off our power this morning with no notice. I work from home and was late to an important meeting rushing to a coffee shop. Called and you have "no planned work" for my address. You have 2 hrs until food in my fridge goes bad. Get it together.

Earlier this morning, roughly 500 customers in the Gallatin area lost power after a garbage truck struck and broke a power pole. NES lineworkers quickly restored electricity to those affected. As crews continue to make structural repairs, temporary power outages may be necessary to ensure safe work conditions and to restore service to nearby areas.

Since last night’s weather event, NES has restored power to nearly 15,000 customers. Work continues for the remaining 895 power outages as we encourage all customers to remain weather aware because another storm line is expected to cross through our community again tonight. The main threats are straight-line winds and heavy rain. A tornado is possible These elements have the potential to damage electricity equipment and cause loss of power. Should you lose power, be sure to report it right away. If you come across a downed power line, assume it is live, stay away and report it to 9-1-1. 📱:(615) 234-0000 💻: NESPower.com 🗺️: NES Outage Map 💬: Text “OUT” to 637797 (NESPWR) (cell phone must be tied to your account)
