I've been SWE for 25 years and I tried writing code today. It is as if 24 of those years have been erased from my counsciousness. Claude has been with us a year and it's simply not possible to live without it.

@J_Kreutzbender Simplest and most effective is just review architecture/larger components. Fable is much stronger handling the bigger picture than Opus.

@ConnorTalksAI Yes, it's interesting. There's not a lot of info out there about JEPA and world models but I suspect we'll see more.

I have been learning about the possible ceilings of large language models and have recently become interested in JEPA. I think that visual models that learn based off of predicting actions might be the next big thing, but I honestly think that they could be much stronger if paired with LLM’s. This would allow them to pair language with actual movements.

@girllovescoding Not just code but all kinds of content. Handcrafted quality content can become very valuable but there's no room left for human slop.

“100% handcrafted software. No AI used.” Sounds stupid today. But give it 2 years and this might become a selling point.

So I've thinking if I was to start a new project what would it be. I would go with a mobile app. No business plans, no MRR goals, just to feel out the process. Standalone app, nothing server-side. See how Claude Design can do UI. Android first, then test porting it to iOS.

Day job: architect at a design firm. Night job: vibe coding my own SaaS. Some days I'm on a screen 12 hours straight. A "real" engineer would faint at my code. But it works, it has paying users, and it's mine. Designer soul, builder hands.
