@JoshWest247 @robotaxi If you still feel embarrassed by your wife for silly stuff like this, you've got bigger issues, buddy.

Failed Robotaxi ride in 91° heat. I LOVE Tesla @Robotaxi and tonight is date night and I was SO EXCITED to take my Wife on an Unsupervised Robotaxi ride for drinks and dinner in Austin. I hailed the ride after “High Service Demand” cleared after ~15mins of trying. A red Model Y shows up with zero Robotaxi markings on it and a guy driving in the front seat. I was immediately let down but we had already waited so long and we needed to reach out destination so we got in. His hands were on the wheel the whole time and it felt like it was last year when the program was just starting. The Supervisor was nice but the ride went sideways. We tried to go to Zanzibar in Austin but the car drove right by the entrance and took us ~a 1/4 mile way out of the way to a residential apartment building. We asked the supervisor what was going on and he called Support and told us to press the support button. Support came on the line and said there was nothing they could do. We had to walk in the 91° heat. We were dressed in nice clothes and shoes not made for walking. My Wife was NOT impressed. I was embarrassed as I had talked up the service so much. On our walk to our destination, we witnessed a Waymo dropping off a rider in the place that we should have been dropped off. Additionally, when we arrived at our destination, hot and sweaty, we saw that there was plenty of room to drop us off. Very frustrating. The best part is, we paid for this experience.

I had the worst Robotaxi ride ever. Video soon.

Everyone is slowly coming to this realization, and I assure you, no one is running multitudes of agents overnight. No one that is doing anything of substance at least. There _are_ people pretending to be scientists, or fully caught up in their drug infused AI overdose, that think their slop machines are changing the world. They're not tho, and they're just wasting a bunch of money and compute to create a lot of LoC that will just get thrown away. The state of the art is still "can we even one shot a production quality patch that we wont regret later", and its rarer than you'd expect based on discourse.
Ronan Berder@hunvreus

Talking to smarter folks than me, I'm convinced many of the AI folks in my timeline are full of shit. Nobody is "running 20 agents over night" and building stuff for actual users. Maybe some are building internal tools or disposable software. Maybe. But building software people like using? That doesn't get hacked on day one or blow up after the 3rd user? Nope. I don't even understand what that's supposed to look like. Do you work out a 57 pages document that perfectly describes what you want to build and then summon 14 agents and have them run wild for 6 hours? And what comes out on the other end isn't a broken pile of shit? Nope. Not buying it. PS: it may also be that I have an IQ of 82 and can't figure it out.

#destroyed_merkava_tanks #july_war_2006 facebook.com/share/p/1C7s1H…

Given that they are printing pictures and posting them in locations everywhere, Mossad’s next step (if it hasn’t already been taken) would be to chemically lace paper products at the manufacturing or supply-chain level. Drones equipped with chemical sniffers could then detect the unique marker, pinpoint the exact locations of the prints, and trace their path. x.com/aboali97044506…

Ironically, those going to negotiate have no say, no influence, and no control. On behalf of whom are they negotiating, and what is their stronghold? They can’t guarantee the security of a suburb, and everyone knows that. Hypocrites.

@zeeg Wouldn’t say it’s a full alternative. Integrations have improved in recent years, but it still lacks on some fronts. Although in Claude’s case, they are using WorkOS, so it is weird that Google supports it while Okta doesn’t.

@judsaoud Is cloud identity an alternative to full scim directory vendors at this point? We still use Google for some things but iirc it was limited in the past

Which SSO vendors support SCIM with JIT? e.g. to where accounts only get provisioned upon access, and still work with automatic deprovisoning? I'm in the market for a new vendor if Okta cant solve it for us, and if it can I need someone to educate us how...
