This girl & I, we had to wait for 6 mos to be together. She hated the heat, bugs and grass when she was young. She’s almost 23, on a science scholarship in the National Parks. She doesn’t give herself enough credit, or understand how proud of her I am. She’s beat so many odds. ❤️

I said goodbye to a patient a few years ago. She didn’t die, she just got old. I treat patients to age 21 and they move on. When they do, I joke, “well, I did my job! I kept you alive until adulthood!” With this kid, it was not a joke. 1/

My son could read and write by 4. He wrote code at 9, was invited on Warped Tour at 15, biked across Canada at 18. At 27 he received a $150k Vanier Award for his PhD. At 32 he was incapacitated by long covid because Trump lied about the science, to win an election. Vote blue.

I have not tested positive for Covid, I was exposed to it this past weekend. I was set to travel to PA this week and attend some events in Houston, but I will be taking proper precautions and quarantining instead. Covid-19 is still a threat and we must act like it.

@AshleyGWinter Unfortunately, I’ve peed out way too many. We know that they’re calcium oxalate, I drink plenty of water, but they keep coming occasionally. It’s those healthy greens leafy veggies and fruits.

If you pee out a kidney stone, please try to save it. Urologists like to know what it is made out of.
