@drterrysimpson Pompa is critical of statins and unfortunately people listen to him rather than their cardiologist. A friend chose to stop their statin because of all the misinformation on SM. Their choice I suppose - I don't get it, a safe and effective drug with decades of evidence

A neurologist should not be doing pelvic exams. He especially shouldn’t be doing them without gloves and without a nurse in the room. He preyed on these female patients. Assaulted them. And a male judge let him get away with it. We are not angry enough.

ctvnews.ca/kitchener/arti… Neurologist accused of 48 counts of sexual assaults against 48 of his female patients has been acquitted recently by a male judge. 48! In doing so, the judge dismissed the expert testimony of a female doctor and expert on whether vaginal and breast exams were part of the norm during neurological exams (They are not) We are still a long way from addressing sexism and gender bias in the court systems. This all will serve to further undermine reporting. Victims legitimately ask "what is the point"

@intjcrn @BSmithBenS No medication that has zero side effects and that is not what was implied Ramipril (ACE Inhibitor) is often first choice but can cause a dry cough in some people who will be switched to an ARB like Candesartan. I had the exact same experience and chose evidence based medicine

@raghu_venugopal @CodiWilson Pt's fear that their records will be accessed - and with good reason. There should be significant consequences and termination should be just the start. Criminal charges can be laid but rarely are. In cases I have seen with nurses CNO levies a meaningless 3 month suspension.

While privacy breeches are serious, the natural conclusion of this story is that 9994/10,000 people working at Lakeridge Health (99.9%) respected patient privacy. The conclusion is Lakeridge takes privacy seriously despite these 6 people. By @CodiWilson ctvnews.ca/toronto/articl…

I’ve been a family doctor for decades … and have never met even ONE patient who needed a gyne exam from a neurologist This is egregious.

I’m embarrassed by my province here. Without GLOVES. He did a vaginal ‘exam’ without gloves. This is abhorrent.

48 female patients came forward to testify to sexual assault by a male Neurologist in Canada. Male judge discounts ALL of them AND the expert testimony of Dr. Vera Bril (a female doctor and expert) who told the court that it is not norm to do vaginal exams, breast exams or exams of other intimate areas during appointments for neurological concerns. Canada. Nothing to do with the justice system makes sense to me anymore.

It requires re-posting - long post. Share among your networks and re-post. Please read to end then contact your local, provincial, or federal leader/representative [Link to news story at end] Male judge Craig Parry (Kitchener) acquits neurologist of 48 counts of sexual assault against 48 female patients. Yes, that's right - 48 female patients came forward. 48 female patients were not believed. 48 female patients apparently deemed unreliable Male judge discounts expert testimony of Dr. Vera Bril - yes, female doctor and expert - who told the court that it is not norm to do vaginal exams, breast exams or exams of other intimate areas during appointments for neurological concerns. Go figure! However, male judge knows better than female doctor/expert. He finds the evidence of 48 women unreliable. He acquits male accused anyway, despite the 'doctor' having had license revoked in 2019 by College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Looking for any male who has had a prostate exam when they went to doctor for neurological concerns. We'd love to year from you. What happened during the acquittal of Jeffrey Sloka? ctvnews.ca/kitchener/arti…

@Genghis_McCann @RhonaRaskin The CPSO revoked his licence after finding that he had sexually abused multiple patients during medical examinations & his conduct was not clinically justified, violated professional boundaries constituted an abuse of the trust inherent in the physician-patient relationship.

In the OHIP schedule of benefits there is a paragraph that outlines what is necessary for a specialist to bill a consultation fee. The first requirement is a complete physical examination. That includes breast exam and, when appropriate, vaginal exam. It also includes testicular exam and, when appropriate, prostate exam. Many neurological symptoms can be occasioned by breast, ovarian, testicular and prostate cancer, so the option of looking at those ares must always be left open. Having said that, I remember reading the testimonies of the original women who complained against this doctor and found them very credible. I thought the decision of CPSO to lift his licence was the correct one. But the police made a grave error when they opened the case up, asking members of the public to come forward. It opened the case to all the crazies and the greedy who only wanted material gain, greatly weakening their case. The testimonies of those who came later were inconsistent and sometimes, as the judge noted, clearly fabricated. This tainted the evidence of everyone else. This is a pity, because without the interference of the hangers-on I thought they had a good case.

In some cultures the testimony of a woman is worth half that of a man. In 🇨🇦 48 women said this neurologist examined their intimate body areas without consent. Judge decided testimony -ALL 48 women- was unreliable. There is no neurological tissue in breasts +vaginas. ctvnews.ca/kitchener/arti…

I’ve seen so many of these injuries post covid vaccination. It was literally rare for me to witness before the shots. Though it can and has occurred prior to mRNA vaccinations. The scale is just astronomical in comparison to pre covid shot conditions. Anyone that’s experienced an aortic aneurysm should be asked if they were subject to synthetic mRNA technology. So we can hold pharmaceutical industry accountable. Either vaxxed or unvaxxed. I’m glad this man is healing. Prayers for continued good health, in Jesus name. God bless

Hard to believe it's over 2 years since my open heart surgery for an aortic aneurysm. It was something that was discovered in a medical check-up, without any symptoms. I'm forever grateful to the doctors and nurses who looked after me, and to be able to live my life without limitations is truly a blessing 🙏🙏 A fading scar is reminding me of that event everyday when I'm looking at the mirror 👀

@ronmortgageguy I think I am a pretty good parent, we are not rich but probably better off than many, we have the money to travel in style etc. There is no way in hell I would take out a HELOC so my kid could buy a home. It's retirement time - which means time to spend every last dime.
