Not at all. Getting your self to a position where your competitors rely on you is never a bad decisions. The bad move was the mishandling of what to do next. I don’t think the team fully scoped out what they wanted to do with COD.

@Senninsage @ken473 Actually the streaming license for all ABK games (which includes it being in gamepass) was to be divested to Ubisoft as part of the ABK merger agreement with the EU and the UK CMA. This leave the additional of CoD to gamepass in the hands of Ubisoft even though MS own the title.

I said in 2025 Xbox should remove Call Of Duty from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to lower the price of XGPU. I stand by what I said. Don’t price people out, price people back in. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is brilliant but it doesn’t need COD IMO.
