Congestion pricing opponents have gone from saying that it won't make a difference to arguing that less traffic is actually bad bc its less business for retail. Do they understand how New York City works?

@epictruthwins @ShabazzStuart Interesting…the nearest formerly free bridges show a drop in traffic, but not the Midtown Tunnel. Maybe people used to paying the toll are less price-sensitive?

@CPTNZacSparrow @ShabazzStuart I live in the congestion relief zone near the Williamsburg Bridge, and have a car. Congestion pricing has been a godsend in cutting back on traffic, reducing horn honking, and reducing bad driving behavior by people frustrated by the traffic.

@fior_jennifer @SilverFoxReturn @jesskcoleman I am 71 living in the congestion relief zone. The elderly need better bus service and accessible subways. The CP fee funds those. The elderly who take cabs will pay only an additional 75 cents per ride in the CRZ.

I bet you’ll be surprised by this… Daily commuters from Staten Island to Manhattan south of 60th St: * Via private car- 6,700 * Via mass transit (ferry or express bus)- 23,800

@Grimblepinch @AdamBronkhorst In terms of marathons, you need robust mass transit to get runners to the starting line and from the finish line. You do not want 40000 cars clogging up the bucolic byways of the countryside.
