This is true but also, doctors can only treat based on the information available to them. This is why it's important to prepare before your appointment. Write down your symptoms as clear as possible, medications, vital signs and information. A doctor is only as good as the information at his disposal

At 39 I went to my doctor with fatigue and was told it was perimenopause and to "live with it." I knew it wasn’t peri (I’m a fertility doctor), eventually, I was diagnosed with celiac disease. Perimenopause is not an excuse to avoid evaluating symptoms in women in their 30s/40s.

🚨#BREAKING: A doctor in Arizona will face NO CRIMINALS CHARGES after he pronounced an 18-month-old baby as DECEASED and left him in a freezing hospital morgue for FIVE AND A HALF HOURS... ...BUT THE BABY WAS STILL ALIVE. Baby Vincent was pulled from a backyard pool where doctors at Mercy Gilbert worked on him, and at 6:20 p.m., Dr. Aryan Toosi pronounced him de*d. His parents said goodbye to their baby. ...but then a nurse said, "I have a pulse." Police officers standing there heard the baby GASP. Not once. Multiple times over the course of an hour. And when an officer tried to tell the doctor the child might still be alive? Per the report, the doctor "arrogantly" told him: "I'm the doctor. I have the medical degree. I went to medical school for a reason. Let me do my thing." So they put that living, breathing baby in the "cold room" morgue!!!!! The room is kept at 36 degrees. And there he stayed... FOR FIVE AND A HALF HOURS. It wasn't until the medical examiner's transport team who showed up near MIDNIGHT to move a "body" and found the baby STILL BREATHING. Little baby Vincent ended up surviving. But sadly, he suffered serious brain damage, and his family says he'll need care for the rest of his life. A baby was left to freeze in a morgue while he was still alive... because a doctor was too arrogant to listen to a nurse and 2 police officers. And as of right now, that doctor faces NO criminal charges. THIS IS CRAZY!!!!!

@jan_murray I also don’t see the point of “skin to skin” with men. Why do dads and especially men who’ve bought babies do it? I know this’ll be a controversial take nowadays. Sskin to skin is for babies to smell milk and feel comforted because of recognising their safe cocoon of 9 months.

Apparently dads get postnatal depression now. And this brave chap is raising awareness of it via a Times article. I’m not saying becoming a father isn’t a big adjustment for men. Of course they should get help if that leads to depression. But it’s women whose bodies are, literally, changed by conception, pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. Not just by the physical changes and challenges, but by the hormonal changes that go with them. And this feels like just another example of women not being able to have anything for themselves - including the very thing only their bodies can do. Not every aspect of female experience needs a male equivalent.

@jan_murray I disagree with you here. I don’t find it offensive. I read the article and I found it fascinating, though not totally new info. My husband definitely went through a minor postpartum depression. Yes, mine was worse, of course.

@gotrice2024 "Food sensory issue"‽ that's a new one for me. Just silliness.. water only for 3 or 4 days and his "issue" will disappear.

My son is pushing through his food sensory issue called ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder). But I can relate to how this young woman’s friend feels. She will only eat salad and crackers for all meals. Her disorder makes it hard for her to eat anything else. My son used to only eat pudding or Mac n cheese for many meals and that’s all he would eat. I would make him take a liquid multivitamin or nutrition shakes to make sure he gets all his vitamins he needs as a precaution. His condition made it hard because it looks like I am neglecting him when I take him out to eat. While his brother has a full plate of food he may have a few cups of pudding by choice. What really helps me in my case and I know many won’t agree with me on this is I reward him with things he wants. Kind of like a bribe, I feel it gives him motivation to try new things and for the most part it works. As shown in the last video he took, he was excited about trying new things like carrots and squash. He even asks for foods he likes now like lobster. It’s a win/win for me because he eats good and is excited about trying new things. Any parents of kids with food sensory issues have a different approach, please share. I am trying to break him free of this, I don’t want him missing out on good food.

Even though a nurse thought she felt a pulse, and first responders and family believed he might still be breathing, 18-month-old Vincent Lorenzo Fiordilino was pronounced dead and sent to the morgue. “However, approximately five and a half hours later, a medical examiner arriving to collect his body made a startling discovery - Vincent was alive, with a faint heartbeat detected.” Baby Vincent was found floating face down in his family’s pool on February 8 while his family was watching Superbowl LX. His mother performed CPR until the ambulance arrived and took him to Arizona’s Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Police reports indicate that there was a difference of opinion between first responders and the attending physician about Vincent’s status: “One officer recalled hearing a nurse say ‘I have a pulse’ … The officer then entered the room where Dr. Toosi was speaking with the boy's parents and relayed what he had heard the nurse say. ‘(The doctor) arrogantly told me he was the doctor, he has the medical degree, he went to medical school for a reason, and to let him do his thing,’ the officer stated in the report.” Dr. Toosi then directed staff to cease life-saving efforts on the boy and pronounced him dead. As his parents said their final goodbyes, both stated that “they believed Vincent was still breathing based on the appearance of him gasping for air,” according to police. The officer on the scene also reported seeing the boy's "stomach/chest area rising and falling." After Vincent was found to be alive, he was airlifted to Phoenix Children's Hospital. Whereas his initial prognosis was grim, a subsequent MRI “brought a wave of hope the family desperately needed," according to the family’s fundraising page. "By the grace of God, the results showed no brain damage. Only a small area of bruising was found, which doctors believe may cause minor balance issues-issues that Vincent's young brain is expected to compensate for as he grows," it reads. "Despite this miracle, Vincent still faces a long and challenging recovery. He will need extensive therapy, ongoing medical monitoring, and support for his healing organs," the family added.

NEW: Alleged OnlyF*ns human trafficker denied bid to lower bail as he is accused of forcing young women against their will to make content.
