@goodoo_dr @hankgreen Who (besides you) said anything about praise? I just find it exceedingly strange to consider one's own desire to see other people's past content to supersede the content creators' choice to revoke access to it, for whatever reasons are important to them.

@knottedthreads @hankgreen What a strange approach at a moral high ground. People can post or delete whatever content they want. What's "deeply weird" is praising someone for doing something wrong and then quitely deleting the evidence.

I have a friend who made stuff on his youtube channel in the early days that he later realized was kinda iffy and even though it was the most popular stuff on his channel (and even though he never had a big controversy about it) he deleted it and found new paths forward.

@goodoo_dr @hankgreen Everyone has the right and the ability to grow and learn and change. Everyone does NOT have the right to have unrestricted access to other people's growth processes. Some people are comfortable sharing their growth process w/the public, and others are not. Both of these are okay.

@hankgreen I prefer Bo Burnhams method of leaving everything up and using it to talk about what's right and wrong and how people can change. Much more noble than secretly removing old material for fear of cancellation.

Either companies need to be split up to increase competition, or they need to be discouraged from price gouging via taxation.

Republican insistence on a draconian budget or they will cause the US to default, puts our economy at grave risk. Seniors could see delays with SS checks, veterans could have benefits cut, housing assistance may be eliminated, and childcare costs increased. We simply can’t afford this GOP austerity plan.
