You missed my point, lemme explain. The moment the convo becomes ‘why hasn’t Paige spoken up?’ the focus shifts away from the ppl acc causing harm & onto a white woman’s response to it. That recenters the convo on her instead of the hate Azzi is receiving & that’s a problem.🧵

@CoreyClayton @SaraJGamelli Because the wings didn’t need Olivia’s skillset more than they need Azzi’s. They also needed a locker room unifier. Olivia was not the right skillset or personality to mesh with this team right now. Azzi is a 50/40/90 player. Extremely efficient shooting.

It's all about reading the room here.
This is basketball, right? If they want to share/or decide to, that is their business. This very much takes away the focus, which is that Azzi Fudd was drafted No. 1 overall, and this is her first and only rookie presser.
