Source: Penn State women’s basketball is hiring Chicago Sky assistant coach and former WNBA standout Tanisha Wright as its next head coach.
Wright was a three-time Big Ten defensive player of the year with the Lady Lions during her college playing days.

While a term sheet is still being finalized, I've been told the new CBA is a seven-year deal with an opt out after the sixth.

The only problem with this line of thinking is believing that stars are willing to take cuts large enough to pull it off in Year 1 of a new CBA with deals never seen before

Super teams will not be gone. All it will take is one or two teams with stars willing to take discounts, and suddenly it’s a Cavs-Warriors situation from the mid-2010s. Two or so teams will play for championships, while the rest play for fun.

Sources tell @SBJ the WNBA’s core designation (or franchise tag) remains in some form but the players’ basically received what they wanted with housing. The salary cap is at $6.9M, just under ESPN’s report of $7M. The reports of a rev share split of roughly 20% is correct.

April 6, expansion draft.
April 7-8, designation period
April 9-11, negotiation period
April 12, Free agent signing opens
April 13, WNBA Draft
Those were using the March 16 deadline, so those could be tweaked after the CBA is fully executed.
