Just watched the first AI-made feature film shown on the big screen. The story isn't that AI can make movies. The story is that a lot more people may soon be able to afford making them.

@MKBHD I wrote couple angry posts during this conference, but spatial framing was the thing I was impressed. It was nice ending for lackluster conference

Usually I tune out for image generation stuff but not gonna lie this one "Spatial reframing" feature was kinda sick: You can preview the effect in realtime, and the blur is what’s filled in later by the generative models. This is a good, tasteful use of image generation models. Works with any photos in your library, even older ones. Very interested to test it.

@itskzppy @Apple The end wasn’t so bad tbh I liked the developer stuff and reframing on the photos We need better Siri and great that we finally got it. But the features they showed should already be available in 2024 for Siri. Like somebody else wrote, it felt like watching wwdc 2024

@lackoftactic @Apple It was pretty boring with all the AI hype, but I am all for it if Siri finally catches up to Google Assistant and gets actual, useful feature implementation instead of just better conversational context

Ngl, 40 minutes into WWDC. The conference is extremely disappointing. It looks like the industry leapfrogged Apple, and most of the features sound like gimmicks and are terribly slow even in pre-recorded demos. Is that all you can do, @Apple? #wwdc
