@WarMonitor3 Maybe Ukrainians choose to be part of Europe. Just like 27 EU countries choose to bring more countries together. People choose to stand together only to fight on the playing pitch. Some good will come from this illegal Russian invasion. Something to respect & honour. Loss & gain

@rtenews Turn off every air conditioner unit in every public office for the summer months. That would save households more than what's going to be offered. We are too far out for an election for anything other than crumbs. Scrubs the costs by curbing public spending.

@Toibin1 So your saying that judges decisions are undermined by charter references from politicians? That a TD with a pen has the power to undermine our justice system? That our Independant justice system is an illusion?

Aontú is calling for an audit of all TDs who have given character references for people in court for heinous crimes. Its a misuse of public office to seek a reduction in a custodial sentence for these horrendous crimes. All such cases must be declared in future.

@Independent_ie Should have to publish expenses before elections. Taxes have to be paid. But it is just unaccountable indulgence. Voters get too caught up in party politics to sit down & take account off were money is being squandered. Empty cycle paths & longer traffic ques. Is that progress?

@rtenews Completely true. No where else makes whiskey like Ireland. Now long would the British army last with only ditch water from Scotland to sustain a fighting force.

@LizWebsterSBF @RejoinEUParty Why deluded yourselves. You can't rejoin. The divorce was final, your choice. All 27 European Union countries would have to agree. Britain borrowing alone plus the French. La two fingers to rejoining. EU has a cool civilized English speaking nation. The scots can join anytime

🚨 “Rejoin” – The Observer front page today Neil Kinnock: “The British people know Brexit has failed them. They also know how to fix it.” “No amount of political noise can hide the fact that leaving the EU has been a disaster. Britain rejoining is a case of when, not if.” Senior Labour voices are now openly pressing Starmer to reverse Brexit. 🔗 archive.ph/2026.04.26-052…

@NewstalkFM Love them. A watch in its day gave people the comfort of knowing the time. HSE patients never get their own records without high court action. Blood pressure varies when you eat, make love to beautiful ladies or enjoying sturdle. Smart watches are a tool not a remedy for that its

@breakingnewsie The best tax break would be for government to stop squandering taxpayers cash. No handouts to UN slush funds. If governments department who allow budget overruns must be held accountable. No more sick notes by dept heads at committees. Cut the waste, stupid!

@rtenews It's over a hundred years off two parties. With a lot off mudflap parties to keep the status quo going. Sinn Fein is a good opposition party & work hard in committees. Solid ground support built Sinn Fein long may it continue.

@NewstalkFM Should be left up to the judge who listens to both sides. Senators have no business telling judges their role in this democracy. If you can teach become a politician, if you can get reelected enter the seanad. It's costing more to heat the seanad then who save a homeless family.

'I thought it was a shocking intervention.' We asked our listeners on Lunchtime Live what they thought of Leo Varadkar's recent comments on the Path to Power podcast, in which he said that urban workers were 'paying the bills' for the rest of the country. Our callers disagreed with the former Taoiseach, let us know what you though in the comments.
