@KanakManiDixit @lexlimbu They say there was a huge fire long time ago that destroyed the area. 25 yrs ago, when I went there, locals took us to the nearby field and dug the ground to show us burnt rice grains buried around.

Simraungadh deserves more. To see ancient statues in the open, without the protection it deserves is failure on our part. The crumbling structures should be better kept. History falling apart before our eyes. #Nepal
