One of these women eventually fled, the other was executed. It took only a few months before it became more apparent how great the magnitude of horror this regime would inflict. But by then it was too late. A cautionary tale for those of us in the west who indulge, let alone dabble in such ideological delusions and believe these sorts of ideas coursing through our institutions, schools and lives are harmless. They destroy not only lives, but nations and civilizations.

Young leftist women in 1979, holding up a picture of Ayatollah Khomeini, calling for the modern-day version of the intifada. Here’s the difference. They won. At the time, women in Iran had unparalleled rights, beyond anywhere else in the Middle East. They had full suffrage, could hold high office, freedom of dress, and were present in parliament, courts, ministries, and diplomacy. They were widely educated and professionally active in law, medicine, engineering, academia, and the arts. In terms of civil and legal rights, they were equal to—and in some cases ahead of—western women in the 1970’s. Yet, it wasn’t enough. They wanted revolution. They had been seduced by the false promises. They wanted the Islamist figure who swore to free the oppressed from the oppressor and bring about heaven on earth, a utopia in Iran. We all know how this story ends. Lynchings, eye gauging, amputations, and mass graves. Now, westerners are falling about themselves in the same giddy delirium, hungry for a glimpse of the nightmare Iranians still haven’t woken up from. I guess that’s why they say those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.

No, @FranceskAlbs, your husband did not have a “stellar record” and the World Bank was not “craven” to remove him. Under the rules, staff represent the World Bank even in social media posts. For a decade, your husband propagated Holocaust inversion and justified Jihadi terrorism.

.@Guardian: “Francesca Albanese accuses [UN Watch] of hounding her husband, Massimiliano Calì, a senior economist at the World Bank, in a campaign that led to him being removed from his lead position running its Syria file. “The World Bank was completely craven,” Albanese says. “He has stellar records of performance in all his positions.” 🔗 theguardian.com/law/2026/apr/1…

You won't hear a peep about this from Farage, Tice or Jenrick. Under the Tories, up to 400 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers. With Labour, there are now just 185, with 11 more hotels re-opening to the public, saving the taxpayer £65 million a year.
Alex Norris MP@AlexJJNorris

There were more than 400 asylum hotels under the previous government – that number has been more than halved, with 11 more closing this week. Labour is bringing the asylum system under control.

Hang on, so we DO have riot police! After years of Gaza rallies, I thought they'd been retired. Turns out they still exist, but only when people march against the gang rape of a woman outside a church in Epsom.

@OnlinePalEng Any comments about the Palestinian death penalties? Or the summary executions carried out in the streets against anyone brave enough to protest against the cabal of drug running gangsters that are destroying their country?

It’s incredible how fast geared up riot police can appear when people protest about a young woman being raped. Yet there were no riot police at the Clapham looting or pro-IRGC rallies. Truly shows the priorities of this government.

This is an astonishing condemnation of Israeli actions on the biggest international political platform with Pakistan calling Israel a ‘serial violator of the UN Charter and int law’.

Exactly Oli! These so-called Western feminists and liberals are nowhere to be seen with their placards when an Islamic regime hangs a brave woman like Bita Hemmati for the “crime” of protesting. Too busy cheering on the very ideology that stones women, executes protesters, and turns our streets into no-go zones. The same crowd that stayed silent on the grooming gangs raping thousands of British girls while the state covered it up. Where are the liberals now with their placards? This is what unchecked Islam looks like. Don’t let it happen here. Stand up. 🇬🇧👊
Oli London@OliLondonTV

Iranian regime planning to execute first female protester. Bita Hemmati, is set to be executed by hanging alongside her husband for taking part in anti-regime protests in January. Where are western feminists? Where is Jane Fonda? Where is Amal Clooney? They are silent.

@AlexJJNorris What are you doing about the thousands upon thousands of illegal invaders who are now being housed within communities. Closing the hotels doesn’t mean they’ve vanished into thin air. Please do stop this gaslighting.

In all the recent coverage of the Southport Massacre, it feels like the REAL victims have faded into the background. So here’s a reminder: Bebe King Alice da Silva Aguiar Elsie Dot Stancombe Say their names. Not his.

The difference in the way OUR Police respond to different groups of people is shocking. These are protests that have happened recently here in the UK. First Palestine Action supporters (a proscribed terrorist group). Second a pro Iranian Regime/pro Ayatollah protest. Third a Ayatollah Vigil to mourn his death. Fourth a group of local British people in Epsom angry about a local woman being gang raped 🤷‍♀️

This is Naz Shah. Labour MP for Bradford. Naz shared a post telling victims of Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs to “shut up for the sake of diversity.” Now, Naz is claiming that she “fought grooming gangs before anyone else.” Naz is a liar. Utterly, utterly awful woman.
