The great Len Deighton dead ( he wouldnt have wanted euphemisms) at 97. Here's my 1962 paperback of Ipcress ( the best of all spy films by the way) - I devoured a his novels but also his " cookstrips" which really taught me how to do it..


@arthistorynews on your recommendation on the pod I finally got to TURNER & CONSTABLE at Tate Britain. What a great show, and for me, Constable edged in front of Turner as my fav. Get there if you can!



Barbra Streisand’s tribute to Robert Redford literally brought me to tears. I did not expect her to break out into song but when she did, it totally broke me. This has been an exceptionally emotional #Oscar night but done with absolute class & thoughtfulness. What a moment.
