@finalfantasyvii Some improvements have been made such as the missing grass in nibelheim flashback from the ps5 version and fixed water alpha. However, there are still missing shrubs in nibelheim which are there on ps5. What gives?

@YouTube TLDR - this game runs at 134/138fps with ParaLLEl-GS at 16x SSAA. Meanwhile with GSdx at 2x native res, it runs at 33/35fps on a 4090 Laptop GPU (about equiv. to a 4070 desktop). Some insane bottleneck is being hit here with GSdx.

paraLLEl-GS can now correctly render the Ridge Racer V intro in high-res scanout mode! This is probably the first time ever we see this intro rendered at a higher than native resolution in an emulator, it has been bugged forever in GSdx. Enjoy! youtube.com/watch?v=YCJ1pl…

@cowlauncher That looks like the gsdx renderer. Core Options -> Renderer needs to be set to 'paraLLEl-GS', and video driver in RetroArch needs to be set to Vulkan. All of this is explained in the blog post BTW.

Some MVS Roms are huge, way bigger than PS2 RAM. This is why we have a cache mechanism, which frequently requests reads from disk. USB is extremely slow in PS2, nevertheless, the HDD is quite fast. This #NJEMU running MSlug3 in a PS2 FAT through the HDD. 🏃‍♂️🔫🎮
