My latest @ASPI_org special report arguing that the Australian government and the ADF must plan and shape the ADF’s energy future by taking advantage of the wider international and domestic energy transition that is underway.

🚨 NEW REPORT 🚨 In 'The Australian Defence Force and its future energy requirements' author @lightningulas details the need to futureproof the ADF and outlines how the ADF can rapidly transition towards renewable energy sources 📖 Read the report now: bit.ly/3n5aI9y

Farewell to our friend, mentor, and stalwart Welsh coal advocate, Rear-Admiral James Goldrick, AO, CSC, RAN (Rtd). Thank you for your insights, your wisdom, and your quick wit. And of course, your stunning dress-sense. Australia will miss you. From the @acsc_j class of 2018.

I&L2030, this very important document, is ready for release. Logistics is our pacing function. The ability to sustain forces will allow us to persist  and provide a more lethal capability to the joint force. @USMCSgtMaj and I need all #Marines to make logistics a priority.

Any war with China would be a disastrous outcome for everyone involved, and the escalation risks are frightening. Lot's of people trying to find 'off ramps', 'guardrails' and so on. But there is a lot wanting in some of the analysis in these pieces (10/10)
