I am very much in camp Battery Buster for best weapon in Mina the Hollower. Standard melee attack is like Link's sword swings in 2D Zelda games. Can switch to blaster mode for ranged attacks, gets a charge shot and charge slash. Also pretty quick attacks you can spam

I have been loving Mina the Hollower. I don’t think it’s as hard as some are saying. I struggled in the beginning but now I understand the mechanics and while it’s challenging, I haven’t had an issue. Except for falling into pits. I still do that a lot (Early game side boss)
