I find myself mesmerised by the beautiful symmetry of this half-demolished Glasgow tenement and exposed chimney flues. Pure art.

@lostedinburgh the windows on this unit have been covered for past couple of weeks, walked past yesterday and door was open, saw workmen chiselling off the last of all those lovely Edwardian rectified tiles from the walls, a big shame

@JoHynd Fascinating stuff. It occurred on Nov 30th, 1959. The iron frame of the building had given way. This was just one week after the 'Penny tenement' collapse at Beaumont Place, Dumbiedykes. A worrying time for working class families in Edinburgh.
