Due to lack of cleaning of drainageon Nai Basti Deoli Road, dirty water from the drains is filled on the road. The situation is bad in the last few minutes. I am facing problems in hearing the sound. The situation is bad due to dirt and bad smell.@LtGovDelhi @CMODelhi @MCD_Delhi

Visited the Kalindi Kunj Ghat along the Yamuna River, along with senior officials of concerned departments, to take a first-hand assessment of the current situation. Discussed the involvement of local and international experts from leading scientific institutions and organizations to help identify practical and sustainable measures going forward.

A productive meeting with Dr V K Paul, Member NITI Aayog; Dr M Srinivas, Director AIIMS; Rajib Kumar Sen, Programme Director, NITI Aayog; and Rupesh Thakur, Secretary (Health), Government of NCT of Delhi, at Lok Niwas. Held detailed discussions on strengthening cooperation between the Government of India, GNCTD and NITI Aayog to drive transformative improvements in healthcare delivery. Key focus areas included enhancing secondary and tertiary care services, strengthening child nutrition and development programmes, and promoting the physical as well as mental well-being of adolescents in schools across Delhi. Emphasised the use of innovative approaches and latest technology to enable coordinated action and scale up public health infrastructure in the National Capital.

An engaging and insightful interaction with Dr. Virendra K. Paul, Director, School of Planning & Architecture. We discussed transformational and time-bound solutions to the challenges of rapid urbanization, with a focus on high-density Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Emphasis was laid on integrated planning approaches to reduce road congestion and mitigate pollution, paving the way for more sustainable and efficient urban living.

Met Shri Vikas Kumar, MD–Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, at Lok Niwas today. Was briefed on the progress of the Metro network in the city. Emphasised the need to strengthen last-mile connectivity from Metro stations to nearby localities, ensuring greater convenience and accessibility for commuters.

Chaired DDMA meeting with HCM Smt @gupta_rekha. Reviewed measures for urban flooding mitigation & Delhi’s Drainage Master Plan, in line with PM @narendramodi Ji’s vision of proactive disaster risk management. Discussed today’s unfortunate residential fire incident; directed a comprehensive fire audit across localities & institutions to strengthen prevention. Also reviewed LPG/PNG/petrol/diesel availability amid evolving geopolitical situation.

Deeply distressed by the fire incident in a residential building near Palam Metro. My thoughts are with those affected by this tragic loss. Rescue and firefighting operations are being closely monitored, with all necessary support being extended.

Felicitation by the Church of North India (CNI) at the historic Cathedral Church of the Redemption was humbling. As an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, I can say that the services rendered by the CNI—especially in the fields of education and healthcare—has been commendable, contributing meaningfully to nation-building.
