Today, 28 students & 3 faculties from Amity University, Noida, UP and 17 students along with 2 faculties from National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi visited NHRC. They were briefed by the sr officers about the various aspects of the Commission's functioning & human rights.

Today, a batch of 70 students and 4 faculty members from ADGIPS - Akhilesh Das Gupta Law School, GGSIPU, Shastri Park, Delhi visited NHRC. They were briefed by the senior officers about the various aspects of the Commission's functioning and human rights.

The Member said that true progress towards #ViksitBharat is possible only when women equally share roles with men across social, technological, scientific & knowledge sectors. About 100 women representatives of 32 NGOs attended it.

She said that a nation can progress with the active participation of women. They also play a key role in strengthening the economy by leveraging government initiatives and schemes.

NHRC, India’s open house discussion in hybrid mode on ‘Access to social media by children under 18 years’ begins at its premises. Chairperson, Justice V. Ramasubramanian is chairing it in the presence of Members, Secretary General, senior officers and experts.

He said that moot court competitions help students develop clarity of thoughts, legal research and advocacy skills while providing valuable practical exposure to courtroom procedures.

The 3-day NHRC- Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Law University Moot Court Competition concluded on Sonipat, Haryana on 15th March 2026. Shri Joginder Singh, Registrar (Law), NHRC addressed the valedictory session.

The Member spoke about the vital link between the family unit and the preservation of culture, noting that family members play a crucial role in nurturing the ethical principles, traditions & values that form the foundation of both the family and society.

She highlighted the integral role of Indian culture in safeguarding human rights, noting that traditional Indian values and customs help uphold human dignity and foster social harmony.
