There is no such thing as a "free" anything if you're a woman. When someone buys you a drink at a bar and you accept, there is a social imperative to have a conversation with that person, and if you don't actually want to, that is time and energy you have to exchange for that "free" $12 drink. The more expensive the "free" thing, the more likely that sex or a relationship in return is the expectation, which costs the woman attention, energy, and capacity.
