Generally you just try to get as covered as possible & hope it doesn’t run over you specifically. I’m from Houston, we only rly get small tornadoes, and even those are terrifying.

Believe it or not, that mostly involves *wood* reinforcement, as materials w/ some flexibility hold up better

But I think it’s more of an issue with Houston’s city planning in general, they want to keep most of it parking lots for the stadium & almost nowhere is walkable so it creates a lot of dead zones
