This isn’t shocking, we still have a relatively low percentage of Indians in relation to the population of India and many came or the descendants of people who had a skilled work visa. The worry is what happens when you have chain migration through the family visa. Then you have a lot more people from the lower end of the talent pool. The key to a successful immigration policy is to have an immigrant population that’s small compared to the native population.
