@GregoryTAnde232 @annakaharris you could argue that the smaller you go in scale, the more primitive experience gets (neurons to cells to atoms) but as they connect (in the brain) the bubbles of experience merge to form bigger, more sophisticated and intelligent bubbles.

The sun seems to rise and set, even after we understand the deeper reality of our location on a rotating planet. Perhaps we will one day realize that consciousness is fundamental, even though it seems that only a small fraction of the universe is conscious.

Do artists realistically need to do both? Do you end up hurting yourself by allowing your songs to sit on <1000 streams despite the fact you can pull 150-200 people to a show?

@kvnylmusic Having that ‘sold out’ tag is super attractive to A&R’s and booking. Spotify can be somewhat indicative of popularity but surely they aren’t dumb enough to think it’s completely indicative. I think it also depends on what your version of success is.
