Why Socialism Doesn't Work, Explained for a 10-Year-Old. You're in a class of 30 students. One kid works like crazy and gets an 18 average. Another does nothing and gets a 4. The teacher decides it's unfair and gives everyone the class average: 11. The one who had 18 stops working. Why bother if it changes nothing? The one who had 4 keeps doing nothing. Why work if you're handed 11 for free? The next year the class average is 7. Then 5. Then 3. The teacher doesn't get it. He thinks the problem is that the students aren't supportive enough of each other. So he starts punishing those who don't put in enough effort. He monitors everyone. He decides who studies what. He bans switching classes. That's exactly what happened. Every time. In every country. No exceptions. USSR, China, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Cambodia, Ethiopia, East Germany. 40 attempts. Same result. Every time. Socialism punishes those who produce and rewards those who don't. Everyone ends up producing nothing. And when no one's producing anymore, the government uses force to make people work. It's not an accident. It's the design. - @brivael

@marbar404 @Fly_EaglesBets Love BG and it worked out for the eagles but Earl Thomas is a multiple time all pro and on the HoF all decade team for the 2010s he’s easily the best of the 3

One of the best Eagles draft stories came in 2010. The Eagles started with pick No. 24 but traded up to No. 13, and everyone expected Texas safety Earl Thomas with the void left after Brian Dawkins. The pick came in….and it was Michigan DE Brandon Graham. Thomas went the very next pick to Seattle, and the Giants followed by taking Jason Pierre-Paul. From that point on, all three careers were tied together and early on, it looked like the Eagles got the worst of it.  Graham had just 3 sacks in his first two seasons while battling a serious knee injury, while Thomas made five Pro Bowls in his first six years and JPP broke out with a 16.5 sack season in Year 2. But the story didn’t end there. Graham battled back, became a career Eagle, set records, and delivered one of the biggest plays in Super Bowl history for the franchise, going from “bust” talk to legend status. All three had great careers, but it’s fair to say it worked out best for the Eagles and a reminder that it’s way too early to call any rookie a bust.

The Top 10 Picks of 2013 NFL Draft is widely considered one of the worst drafts, but the Eagles found the one exception. At pick #4, they landed Lane Johnson… but it almost didn’t happen. Chip Kelly had just arrived from a dominant run at Oregon, and his top defensive star, Dion Jordan, was widely projected as a top 5 pick. Many expected that connection to bring Jordan to Philly. Instead, the Dolphins traded up to #3 specifically to leap the Eagles and grab him, taking the decision out of the Eagles hands. That left Lane Johnson at #4, and the rest is history. But what if Miami didn’t make that move, do the Eagles take Jordan over Lane?  Chip had a very questionable history of acquiring players in the NFL but thankfully we’ll never know. What we do know is this outcome couldn’t have worked out better: Lane is still playing at a Hall of Fame level, while Jordan finished with just 13.5 sacks across 6 seasons on 4 teams. A perfect example of how one move can quietly shape a franchise for decades.

It made a lot of antisemites angry, so let me say that again: The Jewish people are the indigenous people of Israel. Jews lived in Israel before Islam even existed. Cry about it.

The Oscars are tonight. I haven’t watched the orgy of celebrity worship for years, but now there’s another reason not to watch. @EricDJuly points out that Award shows have become political, race-obsessed ceremonies that "shouldn't even be seen as legitimate."

As we all know, this past season didn’t go as expected. It was one of the strangest seasons I can remember with a lack of fun and almost no convincing wins mixed with some highly frustrating losses…and this was from a team that had the division wrapped up with a month still left in the season. Because of that, there were plenty of “worst plays” to choose from. Here are my Top 5 Worst Plays of the Year:

Jews aren’t attacking mosques around the world But muslims are attacking synagogues and Jewish schools Because muslims have always been the racists and aggressors They are the bullies posing as the victims It’s also the story of the Middle East conflict For Israel the conflict over territory could be resolved through reason and negotiation But muslims are racist For them it is a religious war Their Koran teaches them to want to kill and conquer other people Islam cannot coexist with enlightenment and modernity There might be good muslims - but Islam is evil, violent, racist and supremacist

I'm surprised how many Eagles fans are pretty anti-Reed Blankenship. I think he's been a perfectly fine starter, and if you let him walk, you have Andrew Mukuba and Sydney Brown as your only 2 safeties under contract heading into FA (where they won't be major players) and the draft.

And the first big Eagles move is in. The dominoes for the 2025 offseason are officially starting to fall, and a big congratulations to Jordan Davis on a well earned extension. Last season was his true breakout year, and Eagles fans now get at least three more years to enjoy plays like these. Top 10 Plays from Jordan Davis in 2025:
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Jordan Davis reached agreement on a 3-year, $78 million extension that includes $65M guaranteed and makes him the highest paid nose tackle in NFL history. Deal done by WIN Sports Group.
