Dear @BBCNews If an Israeli politician says something extreme, you make it headline news. Pakistan's Defence Minister calls Israel "evil" and a "cancer" and you say nothing! Why don't you want the British public to see how toxic Pakistan's leaders are? Asking for a friend

Looks beautiful. Shame it stopped being called that when the Palestinians destroyed it. Can’t wait to visit when Lebanon dismantles Hezbollah, grows up, and makes peace.

There was a time when Beirut was considered the Paris of the Middle East. This is why Lebanon matters. Today, two countries in the Middle East are being targeted for their beauty. Make no mistake this is a War on Beauty. Photo of Beirut by beautiful Arab.

@StealthMedical1 American F-16 Pilot: China is on another level. I've flown in three wars and what I saw here... It's different. Chinese pilots are definitely the best in the world. Period." Turns out anyone can just make stuff up with no source attached.

I don't care if you are a troll on social media - or a European Foreign Minister: If you want Israel to stop defending itself against Hezbollah, you are standing with radical Islamic terrorists and the Iranian axis. Shame on you.

Spain has withdrawn its ambassador from Israel and reopened its embassy in Tehran. Everything you need to know about Pedro Sanchez' Spain, now an open ally of the Iranian Axis.

The UAE isn’t scared like some other Arab & Muslim countries. We’re clearly against the Iranian regime’s terrorism & its endless blackmail. We want a real final solution that brings lasting peace not one that lets this untrustworthy terrorist regime survive.!

If the two-week ceasefire ends with a deal along the lines of America’s 15-point plan, this is a tremendous victory for America. If it ends with a capitulation to accept Iran’s 10-point plan, it is a humiliating disaster.
Jason Brodsky@JasonMBrodsky

The amount of people who are taking #Iran’s regime’s SNSC statement and its comic spin seriously is astounding. President Trump didn’t agree to that 10 point plan. All President Trump said was that it was a “workable basis on which to negotiate.” And Araghchi referenced President Trump’s 15 point plan in his statement. Those are two extremely different things. It doesn’t bind the U.S. to anything. And if you think the president is suddenly going to agree to a JCPOA-like deal along with withdrawing U.S. troops, compensation, Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, and the rest after the damage Iran has incurred, you should lay down and wait quietly until the feeling passes. In the end, putting the ceasefire aside, both sides on paper are light years apart. The idea that they will be able to agree to a comprehensive deal within 15 days from April 10 stretches credulity. At best there could be an extension. But it could also set the stage for another U.S. and Israeli strike. A replay of February 2026.

@mikepompeo My guess is remotely shut the power plants down with NSA, blow bridges near uranium storage, keep the country in the dark and isolated until we can physically land and extract uranium with airborne and MEUs as QRF. Then peace out. Mission accomplished.

I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Read that again. Every president had the same file on their desk. Only one opened it and did something. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

This is how much WEAK Iran is. They apparently shot down a low-flying US Fighter Jet on their soil. The two pilots ejected safely. Iran Police, Military and IRGC forces 2KM away couldn't capture the two pilots. America flew its rescue personnels from 1000KM away and successfully rescued both the pilots and carried the wreckage away.

If both US pilots turn out to be okay and safe, this will become one of the biggest strategic disasters for the regime and the IRGC. It will mean that America with ease operated deep within Iran at low altitude, completely uninterrupted. It doesn't matter that the IRGC finally shot down one plane, because they failed to capitalise on it. They failed to capture the soldiers, and they couldn't even bribe the Iranian nation to hunt for them either. Total failure.

🚨 STRAIT OF HORMUZ UNDER FIRE — U.S. STRIKES IRGC POSITIONS Reports indicate a major U.S. Navy operation is underway to break Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz — one of the most critical oil choke points on Earth. Dozens of missiles are said to have been launched at IRGC positions along the Strait. If confirmed, this is a direct move to secure global energy routes — and a major escalation in the conflict. The stakes could not be higher: • ~20% of the world’s oil flows through this corridor • Any disruption sends shockwaves through global markets • Military confrontation here risks rapid, uncontrollable escalation This is no longer regional. This is global pressure building in real time.
