My first AI automation retainer client fired me after 1 month. It was $2,000/month. Found me on Upwork... we had two calls, he signed, we even had dinner together in Boca Raton. Crazy to think this was over 3 years ago at this point. But we STILL have a good relationship overall and he's a good guy. Construction business between New York and Boca. But I had zero process. Looking back, it was ridiculously horrendous. No weekly check-ins, delivery timeline, milestones. No daily communication. Essentially just a retainer and vibes. I'll never forget the email. Day before the subscription was supposed to renew. "We're too busy for this right now." I could read between the lines. He's called me a few times since then for projects. No hard feelings. But that one month taught me more than any course or playbook ever could: Retainers without structure are just subscriptions to disappointment and churn. You need to have something finite that you are delivering, consistently. It's one of the most difficult type of engagement to sustain when running an ai agency. Now every client gets mapped milestones, weekly OR daily demos, daily async updates, and a clear build timeline before we touch a single workflow. And so many nuanced pieces around managing complex projects. A lot of the lessons I learned from that experience built the foundation for everything Boom runs on today.

well water tastes better/is better and personally i have better skin when i drink it. had 3 kids on well water, 0 on city water. same time in each one. generally dealing with a well isn't that big of a deal, but it will breakdown from time to time and it's good to understand how it works. you wanna keep the wellhouse warm enough in the cold

We had to pay it in 6 payments monthly Our 2nd child we were married and had health insurance, self employed. We went to the same hospital, same Dr's. They billed my insurance over $18,000 of which I had to pay 30% ($5400) plus the monthly premium and co pays 3rd child, we had insurance. I went back to the same hospital, same Dr's and asked for the cash price again. Paid $3500 in 6 installments and never told my insurance
