Assistant track coach arrested on child exploitation charges in Fairfax County, Virginia 🚨 A Hayfield Secondary School assistant track coach has been arrested and charged with multiple counts related to child sexual abuse material in Fairfax County. Richard Huerta, 28, of Kingstowne, faces ten counts of possession of child sexual abuse material following an investigation by Fairfax County Police’s Child Exploitation Unit. The investigation began after detectives received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating Huerta may have been in possession of illegal material. Authorities subsequently executed several search warrants and found electronic evidence tied to the allegations. Huerta was arrested at his residence and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. Fairfax County Public Schools officials said Huerta had been employed as an assistant coach since August 2025. The school system is in the process of terminating his contract, and he will not return to the school. #NoVa

Before Corinna Mullin jumped in, DSA organizer Danny Valdes dismissed the question of whether Cuba is a dictatorship as “completely irrelevant” to what is happening on the island.
That line is revealing on its own. In a room full of activists eager to defend Cuba, even raising the nature of the regime itself was treated as beside the point.
Then Mullin took it a step further, arguing that it is “a problem for us to separate out our support for the people versus the state,” praising the Cuban Revolution for having “expropriated the wealth of the expropriators,” and insisting that “we must in our messaging defend the Cuban revolution.”
Valdes did not resist the escalation. He nodded along as Mullin argued that activists should openly defend the revolution itself.

I’ll be delivering medical aid to a children’s cancer hospital and joining an international delegation of MPs opposed to Trump’s new ban on any fuel entering the country.
This cruel policy is putting lives at risk. It is an inhumane attempt to strangle the Cuban people. And Trump is even threatening that Cuba could be “next” after Iran.

“Don’t lose the plot,” says Jorge Alvarez of the Youth Solidarity Brigade. But the plot is history. When he says “right now is not the time to debate and have discourse about Cuban history, the Revolution,” he is asking people to set aside the record while he travels to Cuba in solidarity.
Sad as it is, Alvarez may be romanticizing a revolution that likely would have viewed him with contempt. Early revolutionary Cuba’s persecution of gay men, including the UMAP camps, is part of the very history he wants sidelined as he becomes a useful idiot for a dying regime.

Florida man was sentenced to 37 years in prison for manslaughter in the deadly crash caused by his 15-year-old son. Prosecutors argued that he is responsible because he allowed his unlicensed son to drive unsupervised, which resulted in the death of a grandmother and three children.
