I was greeted by this grim sight when I arrived at Loch Paible today. This lost/discarded fishing net had five dead baby seals entangled in it. It’s so sad that this has had such tragic consequences.

A few By-the-Wind Sailors were washed up on the beach along with many 100s of Moon Jellyfish

This fabulous male Emporer Moth was in my trap this morning. It’s got to be one of the best looking UK moths.

This Puss Moth was so well camouflaged on the path that I nearly trod on it. Also a fantastic Emporer Moth, which has to be one of the best moths in the UK.

@WiWildlife The 9th species of goose on North Uist this year.

After scanning through 1,000's of Barnacle Geese throughout the winter in North Uist and 1,000's of migrant Barnacles as they stopped off in North Uist on their way north; a single Cackling Goose was with the last 15 Barnacle Geese left in North Uist this morning!
