This sweet grey seal (white coat) pup is incoming tomorrow morning. Picked up by @BDMLR tonight. Seemingly abandoned but dehydrated / snotty so needed help. It's also on a public beach and being annoyed by dogs off their leads!! @RSPCA_official @nantwichnews

@NorfolkBea There is an RSPCA Centre in Norfolk which does an amazing job with the seals, but there have been so many and there’s only so much space to safely hospitalise them.

@BDMLR I know your medics are volunteers & overstretched at best of times. This seal pup is injured & bleeding. Did our best to get dog walkers to put their pets on leads & stay wide & clear. If only we hade a seal hospital here in N.Norfolk I hope folks will support your vital work.

@mitrebarnet @raynaharper Not unusual to see seals on the beach at Cromer, there was one there yesterday too (picked up for vet treatment). Not sure we had a call about the one today but if it’s there tomorrow we’ll happily get it checked.

@raynaharper @BDMLR That was my first thought, but I spoke to a lovely couple and they explained that it had been there all afternoon and it was lively and was being watched by the lifeguards. I’m pretty sure local animal welfare people would have been alerted.
