@trq212 @DanielleFong Displaying more information on context usage in the harness would be really helpful. It’s pretty unclear how much a given message is using taking into account history, caching, tool definitions, etc. and making this more transparent would help people meter it better imo.

Resolved!! @trq212 helped me out debug where the token usage came from and it was my fault 100% Script to find token usage gist.github.com/kieranklaassen… I had a recurring script that ran every 5 minutes that should not have run every 5. I hope we can make it easier to detect these within Claude and Claude Code soon too.

@othman I interpreted the paper as "be careful when measuring this because I screwed it up this specific way" and not "everything we know about microplastics in our environment is wrong" (as the quote tweet implies).
Probably still worth trying to minimize, but who really knows 🤷♂️

@laurenlself Our dog had two around the same age. Took him to a neurologist and he’s been on twice daily low dose phenobarbital since. Hasn’t affected him at all really once he got used to it, and no seizures since. He’s now nearly 13. Happy to talk more about it if you want.

How else would you tell the difference between your end products and a personal AI assistant? Do you not think that many end products *are* personal AI assistants? You still get *heavily* subsidized usage!

I am ok paying the API fees for my end-products, that is fair game.

It is kind of secondary to her (excellent) point though — market rate housing becomes cheaper with more of it.
