There is a lot of love being shown for Anthony Stewart Head right now, and it's brilliant. A father figure for a generation that we just don't see these days. My personal favorite is a bit dark. Showing how far a father will go to protect his child.

My dad was the opera director at a college, so I grew up watching this movie over and over and quoting it all the time. As a kid I loved Tom Hulce as Mozart and the supporting cast of oddballs in the royal court. As an adult I am blown away by F. Murray Abraham as Salieri, he is EVERYTHING in that role.

Amadeus might as well have ended the music biopic genre. I don’t care how fictionalized this movie is- no biopic, hell, hardly any other film has ever made me feel the way Amadeus has made me feel. I don’t have the words- I don’t have the time- to describe this film’s importance.

@TheCinesthetic megan is missing. it played super realistically and more like documentary footage. a powerfully effective directing choice. without the artistic veil of cinema, it was super bleak and forced you to think about people irl who've suffered similar fates.

This is Bubba. A Tuxedo Maine Coon. Last Christmas, I thought my baby boy was going to die. Such a scare. I told the vet: whatever it costs, whatever it takes. I'll mortgage the house. Please save my boy. He made it. Now he's 18 months old, 20 pounds, and will keep growing for 2-3 more years. My wife (and the vet) saved his life. Soon he'll be big enough to eat us.
