@Will_Flannigan Hey Will - we actually built a chrome extension that lets you track individual google trends over time so you can get alerts when “shortage” spikes up or down suddenly without having to monitor it

For example, below are a couple of shortages that have come and gone over the past 12 months including "baby formula," "eggs" and "Adderall." I suspect if people can't find it on the shelf, they turn to Google to understand why. Today "gas shortage" piqued my interest.
