@_teekay365 You just proved my point Jude is the one who’s truly committed Vinícius is the type of player who only sacrifices when he’s motivated thank you..

Our problem wasn't that someone wasn't running or that there was some trash off-ball attitude. Our issue is that the pressing isn't happening as a unit, and it's built on nothing but emotional charge. We could press way better if we did it like a machine.

@iamspade_ everything should be done with forward intent, not chaos with no tactical structure behind it

@mickaelson__ With the way footy works in 2926 if your players aren’t tactically educated to do it don’t bother, also. Not every team even has to be this high pressing team, mid blocks can be just as effective

At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter who runs and who doesn’t if there isn’t a system built to make pressing effective you can see it in the comparison between Barça under Xavi and Barça under Flick
Paydaybagman@paydaybagman616

@mickaelson__ I'm a vinicius fan and I can admit he presses decently but not that often compared to high level presses like Dembele, Kvaratskelia, or Valverde. I think Our pressing needs to be systematic, at least if it's not that often, it should still be structured

@iamspade_ There’s nothing I said that suggests using a high line is the only way I’m just saying you can play however you want as long as you press with purpose, defend with purpose, and attack with purpose

he uses the high line to make the counter press and the opponent’s half more intense that’s why he says the high line doesn’t matter if the pressing is done the right way

they’ve got pretty much the same players and they’re all committed, but under Xavi it often looked like they were just running around chasing the ball that's why they were fragile in most phases. under Flick, they’re pressing with purpose

Having Cristiano Jr. at La Fábrica has been one of the most anticpated things in years it almost feels destined that all the players from that 3peat winning squad will bring their sons into the club, especially Cristiano

🚨 BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo’s oldest son, Cristiano Jr., trained with Real Madrid’s U-16 team on Tuesday. The idea is for him to JOIN La Fabrica in the NEAR future. @MarioCortegana @TheAthleticFC

That’s exactly my point, and it’s Vinícius fanboys who’ve made him one of the most misunderstood players in Europe they don’t even really know what his actual value is or what he truly brings to the table they just wanna act like he’s perfect at everything, and that’s it
Paydaybagman@paydaybagman616

@mickaelson__ I don't think any forward is that way, most of the self sacrificing players are good at everything, like Fede valverde. Vinicius is the best player in his position when playing at his best. His pressing is decent for an attacker but not crazy, I'll admit that

that’s not him at all and saying Vinícius is that kind of top tier selfless sacrificing player is just not true

or doing whatever the team needs Vinícius wants to play the way he’s comfortable with, that’s just who he is he’s not like a Valverde or Ruud Gullit type where you ask him to do anything and he’ll do it without question

He played one game at wingback and didn’t act like he was some kind of Nelson Mandela yeah Zidane definitely messed up putting him there, but we’re not gonna act like this guy has been the most cooperative when it comes to making his coach’s job easier or something
dozie@_elandur

"let others score while I handle all the hard work" and we're talking about a winger, who in part of his career, has played RWB and now trying to transition into the CF role.

EL MEJOR JUGADOR DEL MUNDO.@conerobaneao·
"The LeBron James of football" por Dios.

You can’t expect him to be consistently that hardworking guy. A lot of people get misled by those bursts because he’s so easy to fire up, you give him the right emotional push and he’ll go all in for moments. But does he treat it like a constant responsibility? Not at all

At that level, he picks when he commits defensively, he’s not the type to say let others score while I handle all the hard work. That’s just not him. He’s an offensive difference maker who chooses when to switch on that intense running and grind.
