@GreekAnalyst I think that the political schism is now focused on culture wars. After SYRIZA realised that exogenous factors dictate our economic model (the hard way), it once again turned to the extreme left and concluded that its echo chamber is a suitable sample of the silent majority.

It’s not a coincidence that the political pendulum in Greece moved loudly towards the Right. Under Mitsotakis, ND became the paradigmatic party of the political centre, leaving room to its right, while the Left + center-Left vilified patriotic/safety concerns of the middle class.
