TODAY: Covid is spreading more now than in any previous back-to-school season. Families are being thrown to the wolves by #LaissezFairePublicHealth. We need surveillance testing, science-driven isolation policies, guidance for universal high-quality well-fitting masks, air purifiers to reach ASHRAE Standard 241, & updated vaccines yesterday. In absence of those policy-based precautions, families must fend for themselves. The only options/tips are non-universal masking (less effective for kids than adults), getting a vaccine next month, and reducing in-home spread. Dr. Malley is spot on. @mkhh09 Your article about COVID completely leaves out the severe GI symptoms many people experience. This contributes to the spread of COVID - ignorance of symptoms lead people to think it’s food poisoning or a stomach bug. It also prevents them from benefiting from Pavloxid
