The United States will reach the semifinals of the World Cup on their own soil European minds won’t be able to comprehend it

USA won against Australia and Paraguay, football dwarfs. But lost against washed Belgium, Germany and Portugal recently. No chance. Every match against a bit of a good team they lost. Little do Americans know about football and how strong or weak they actually are.

I don't know what the chances are of the U.S. making a deep run in this World Cup, but I do know this is clearly a different USA team than we've seen. They're skilled, they're cohesive, they play with purpose. They won't be an easy out.

@danielren123 @JayHrndz2 No , they were in drawing pot 1 together with the other hosts and the top nations, which is why they don't have any big teams in their group. They were supposed to win the group!

Uruguay and Ghana are not easy teams at all. Could easily lose those.

“USA is only winning because they have an easy group.” I don’t know about you, but I think that argument is a bit unfair. Before the tournament, when the U.S. was set to play Paraguay, a lot of people were saying they would struggle because Paraguay are defensively solid and don't give teams much room to score. Then, heading into the Australia match, I kept hearing that Australia would make life difficult for the United States. To be fair, there were a few moments toward the end where the U.S. looked a little shaky, but they still kept a clean sheet, and scored two goals. In fact, out of all three host nations, many people argued before the World Cup started that the United States had the toughest group. And if we've learned anything from the first week of this tournament, it's that there really is no such thing as an "easy group." Even some of the teams considered favorites to win the World Cup have found themselves struggling against opponents that many expected them to beat comfortably. That just proves that every game requires you to be 100% focused and find a way to get the job done. I'm not saying the U.S. are the best team in the world. They still have a long way to go and plenty of areas to improve. But you have to give this team credit. They've won their first two matches and have played some entertaining football. They have done exactly what good teams are supposed to do. You can only beat who's in front of you, and so far, the United States have done just that.

Paraguay had a great qualifying campaign, beating most of the South American heavyweights once. Australia lost 1 match in their 16 match World Cup qualifying campaign. Are they good? Sure. Are they elite? Absolutely not. Is the US good. Yes. Are they great? Maybe. Are they elite? 🤷‍♂️

I need the soccer fans to help me out here Is this USA team really good, or is our group easy compared to other groups? (Or maybe both?) Regardless, these first two games have been fun 🇺🇸

USA beating Australia 2-0 is a very good result. If this team makes a good run (At least to the last 4 in Knockout rounds), I’ll call it a successful World Cup. BTW, 6 goals so far is tied for the most we’ve ever scored in a World Cup. (Broke a single-match record with 4 in first game)

Argentina and maybe Germany are the only two teams we've seen with a cohesive style like this
