@jaycsantos Those magic bytes are UTF-8 "BOM" - these help applications detect that a file is in utf-8 format. Nasty things.

@Megadev for flash xml not the loading time is big, but the processing time once loaded. So embedding may not help that - but I'll test it.

@Megadev I experienced XML in AS3 being painfully slow to load (unacceptable for large levels), maybe better off with plaintext.
