@SmaragdinaVisio @djp1974 I vaguely remember Wilson giving away the punchline somewhere near the end of one of his books. It’s not 23, it’s that you’re paying attention to 23. Akin to the “plate o’ fish” phenomenon.

More weird 23s in the last few days. I’m fly-fishing and catch an unusually high number of fish- 23 in fact. Then the bites suddenly stop- I inspect the fly and see that the hook is now snapped off, so I can’t catch any more. I drive home on the country roads, rounding a corner I see a cyclist wearing a shirt with the number 23 on the back…
