@bp85wildfan The only issue that I see is getting 20 years in - if they have not already extended the MRD to 61. When you hit about 10 years -- apply for an extension and find a good General Officer to endorse it -- then you can serve until 62 or 64.

Good for you. Go enlisted. Being an officer is a huge pain in the hind end. Being an officer was never fun except the brief moments of command. I taught a 54 year old 2LT from the Tennessee National Guard - prior enlisted - how to do intel, and he did fine. Another friend of mine went from the Army Reserve to get an active commission at 41, and went on to do 10 solid years on active duty. So it can be done.

Most of the people in LA are leftists. That's proven time and time again through polling and social studies. That's how they vote. Leftist mayors get 70 to 80% of the vote in LA. The sane majority are down in Orange County or out in Riverside. Or out in the desert. I'm not a right winger, but I know where the rational people are - and it is not in Hollywood. Or LA.
