Still in disbelief about my encounter with an @AmericanAir Flight Attendant today. I hope this unhappy employee is given more training and support.

@0nn04 @mkobach It is not widely known yet since PBMs are relatively new. The issue has dramatically worsened each year for the past few years though. The more I learn about it, the more shocked I am that they can exist with no oversight.

@msgatoradr @mkobach I wonder why it’s well hidden. Despite having a brief stint with studying the healthcare system, I can’t believe I missed this important part. Thanks for sharing this.

What’s an important issue that not enough people know is an important issue?

@mkobach Pharmacy benefit managers. They are reducing drug options for patients and increasing costs, putting pharmacies out of business. Could lead to pharmacy deserts, a serious concern in a pandemic. They are vertically integrated & anticompetitive.

So, after 13 years, my time @Medi8Golf is coming to an end. I can't thank @Medi8Nicole & @Medi8Dave enough for the opportunities, support & guidance they have given me whilst I have been able to work in an industry I LOVE. Here are just a few highlights 😊 #TeamMedi8

“The lack of data means that pregnant people and their medical providers are left to make health care decisions that many OB-GYNs feel are riskier than they need to be.”
NPR@NPR

Nearly 75% of the drugs approved by the FDA in the past 20 years had no assessment of their effects in pregnant people -- including all available COVID-19 vaccines. Many OB-GYNs feel that makes health decisions riskier than necessary, and needs to change. trib.al/3RIf5Nj
