Is there a science fiction equivalent of Harry Potter? My ten year old is very keen on sci fi but a lot of the classics I’d recommend are a bit above his reading level.

Something recent entrants to IT, may not understand: Computers were multiple levels of magnitude slower just a short time ago. You could not pay to buy a SAN with the speed of your computer's SSD. That's when all this server clustering and distribution culturally ingrained itself
