Savings accounts are at 5.25% right now. $2M in there = about $225K/year. Why aren’t more people doing this?

@goldseek Essentially we got the best news possible an effective rate cut by inaction during massive increases in inflation.

@APompliano They did cut rate you moron. Holding them still into a massive wave of inflation has the same effect.

The Federal Reserve has left interest rates unchanged. They should have cut interest rates. Just another mistake in a long line of mistakes throughout Jerome Powell's tenure as Chairman.

@adamtaggart Them holding rates is a cut. Only increasing rates to 10% would be even slightly bearish anything less than 10% is essentially a rate cut. Honestly 10% is conservative I think a lot higher than that would be required. Inflation worldwide is about to go on full speed.

While I haven't tweeted about it much recently, I am closely watching the price weakness in gold & silver I'll admit, I'm concerned about the technicals But, I still think this is mostly tied to the price of oil Nations are having to sell assets, like PMs, to pay for more expensive oil When the price of oil comes down, I expect PM prices to recover

@BoomerDivvies No college, buying a home paying for children on average cost between 300%-1000% increase since the 60s. Take home wage has not kept up. Absolutely boomers had it better off and you screwed it up with cowardice

Everyone acts like all boomers are rich. They’re not. We grew up in a much less wealthy world than what you have now. In the USA half of boomers would be living in poverty if not for Social Security. There’s a reason we have 70 y/o Walmart greeters.

@adamtaggart Yeah dumb take. you can’t get close to Iran without knocking out the 100k artillery and missles along the shore. All of which are moveable and hidden. No admiral is sending in his ship to get blown up. America is in zugzwang

The longer Strait of Hormuz traffic remains compromised, the more pressure builds on those countries heavily dependent on Gulf oil (Europe, Japan, S Korea, etc) to do whatever they can to get it opened IMO, the odds of them creating an international naval flotilla to police the Gulf & secure free passage rises every day the current situation continues And I think the GCC countries would happily pay for this And the US would likely welcome the rest of the world stepping in to secure the Gulf This works against Iran's short & long-term interests. Once in place, such a flotilla would likely be there permanently. If I'm right about this, it's another mounting time pressure on the Iranian regime Thoughts?
