Immer 11.0 was just released! With an internal rewrite from @acemarke that makes Immer 20% faster overall, with more changes incoming that will push it to 40%. (and some scenarios even 70% faster). github.com/immerjs/immer/…

React upgrades are consistently the task I dread the most. React 18 was two weeks of dystopian long nights and misery. Hopefully 19 will just be pointless bullshit like slapping braces around ref callbacks because apparently now they HAVE to return void for some reason 🙄

@frebrx Dat komt praktisch wel neer op discriminatie naar singles. Ik heb nooit begrepen waarom een single minder recht zou hebben op vakantie in juli/aug.

Singles die in team werken en vakantie willen in juli of augustus en steeds weer te horen krijgen dat mensen met kinderen dan voorrang krijgen. Het is een ding. Objectief trekken singles aan het kortste einde.

React takes “UI = fn(state)” too far, IMO. You’re required to give ALL your state to React to update the UI. Then it provides escape hatches to give you back things you need, like useRef, useCallback, etc. But what if you never gave React all your state in the first place?
