Sending our best wishes to Vaishali as she steps into the decisive final round of the FIDE Women’s Candidates in Cyprus. She stands on the brink of history, aiming to become only the second Indian woman in 99 years to earn a shot at the World Women’s Chess Championship crown. Stay calm, play fearless, and seize the moment, Vaishali. History is within reach!! The entire nation is rooting for you. @chessvaishali @narendramodi @mansukhmandviya @FIDE_chess @PMOIndia @IndiaSports @Media_SAI @aicfchess #AllTheBestVaishali #FIDEWomenCandidates

Chess is a game of passion and intelligence. Delighted to be with young talents at the State Level Championship organised by the All Bihar Chess Association in Patna. Stories of players like Gukesh and India’s growing presence in global tournaments are transforming our chess ecosystem. Kudos to the All India Chess Federation and its leadership for nurturing this momentum.

Arjun Erigaisi clinches the Jerusalem Masters 2025 title with a stunning victory over the legendary Viswanathan Anand! After the first two rapid games ended in hard-fought draws, Arjun seized the initiative in the first blitz tiebreak with a brilliant win as White, and secured the crown by calmly drawing the next game. Earlier in the semi-finals, Arjun had prevailed over Peter Svidler, while Vishy Sir got the better of Ian Nepomniachtchi to set up this much-anticipated final clash. Heartiest congratulations to Arjun on a remarkable triumph, and to Vishy Sir for his superb performance throughout the event!! @vishy64theking @ArjunErigaisi @narendramodi @mansukhmandviya @FIDE_chess @PMOIndia @IndiaSports @Media_SAI @aicfchess

An emotional and immensely enthusiastic feeling at the successful conclusion of the nearly month-long world’s biggest chess event, the FIDE World Cup 2025 in Goa. With 206 players and 83 federations from across the world, the event was truly a chess juggernaut and India’s moment on the global stage. Our sincere thanks to Aadarniya Pradhan Mantri Shri Narendra Modi ji for motivating us and for his constant support to chess. Our deepest regard to Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya ji, Chief Minister of Goa Shri Pramod Sawant ji and his government for their support and personal interest in organising the FIDE World Cup. Thanks to all the players, officials and colleagues of the All India Chess Federation and Goa Chess Association for their efforts, teamwork and dedication in making this tournament historic and a textbook case. Thanks you so much President Arkady Dvorkovich, Secretary General Łukasz Turlej, and the entire FIDE family. Thank you for trusting India, for trusting Goa, and for partnering with us to deliver a truly iconic World Cup. Tournament is over but not the game, so keep playing chess. @narendramodi @mansukhmandviya @DrPramodPSawant @ramesh_tawadkar @FIDE_chess @PMOIndia @advorkovich @IndiaSports @Media_SAI @aicfchess @lukaszturlej
