Under the Petroleum Act 1998 the state owns all the oil and gas. It's produced by private companies under licence
100% of the gas comes onto the GB grid because that's where the pipes go. It's not optional 😂
Most of the oil goes to overseas refineries because we only have four refineries left. Our refineries have to pay carbon taxes. Imported refined products do not and are not included in the CBAM, so are at a huge structural disadvantage
