How do you know your agent is still running after you close the lid? I became a bit obsessed with putting some RGB LEDs for a status indicator into the SD Card slot on my MacBook Pro. I never use that slot, so it's a perfect place.

It’s difficult to give a general answer here. As well as the hardware (which should actually be quite good on the iPhone), the browser engine always plays a part too. And unfortunately, it’s a fact that WebKit/Safari aren’t the quickest to implement new features. But I’d need to test it more thoroughly to see if that’s really the reason. But to answer your actual question (and @artus9033, correct me if I’m wrong), Transformers.js in React Native is still very much in the experimental stage. So I wouldn’t rely on it fully just yet, but we should definitely keep an eye on how things develop😊

I have one question which I didn’t find the best answer yet. Why transformerjs model which runs best in chrome Android Devices, but struggles in iOS devices? What am I missing here? Is RN the ultimate solution for iOS Devices also for transformerjs? I saw this issue with whisper onnx.

My learning from @uphillconf '26: being a speaker is so much easier than being an organizer 😅 After the last two years on stage, I switched sides. Nine months of prep, a lot of group chats, and one very humbling ropes course at the speaker event later, we pulled it off!
